On Tuesday, August 5—‘July Uprising Day’—Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus is scheduled to present the historic ‘July Declaration.’ The announcement ceremony will take place at 5:00 PM at the South Plaza of the National Parliament. Bangladesh Television will broadcast this significant moment live, connecting the nation.
Press Secretary to the Chief Adviser, Shafiqul Alam, confirmed the event, calling it a historic and symbolic occasion that will lay the foundation for the country's future political direction.
The capital’s Manik Mia Avenue will see vibrant festivities throughout the day, organized under the supervision of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs. The area will host a daylong concert, performances, and dramatic presentations. Due to the expected large public turnout, police will impose traffic control in the surrounding areas.
Festivities will begin at 11:00 AM with a musical piece titled “Tong-er Gaan.” This will be followed by performances from Saimum Shilpi Goshthi, Kolorob, Nahid, Tashfeer, Chittagong Hip Hop Hood, Sezan, and the band Shunno. At 2:25 PM, a special segment titled “The Moment of the Fascist's Flight” will be observed.
Following a short afternoon break for prayers, the second half of the concert will resume with performances by Sayan, Ethun Babu & Moushumi, Souls, and Warfaze.
At 5:00 PM, the central moment of the day—the collective reading of the historic ‘July Declaration’—will take place. Later in the evening, the final concert segment will feature performances by Basic Guitar Learning School, F Minor, Parsha, and Elita Karim. The event will conclude with a spectacular drone show and a performance by the band Artcell.
